Can I see you if I live outside Metro Detroit?
Yes. We provide telehealth care to adults throughout Michigan, including smaller towns and rural communities. You need a private space, a device with a camera and microphone, and a reliable internet connection.
What happens at the first appointment?
We discuss your symptoms, medical and mental health history, previous treatment, current medications, sleep, stress, and goals. We then explain our recommendations and talk through the next steps together.
Do you evaluate and treat adult ADHD?
Yes. Adult ADHD assessment and medication management are areas of care at Brain Bath. Your evaluation helps us understand your symptoms and develop an individualized plan.
Can medication be part of online psychiatric care?
When clinically appropriate, medication may be part of your treatment plan. Availability of a specific medication depends on clinical assessment and applicable prescribing requirements. Contact us with questions about a particular medication before booking.
Can you take over my current prescriptions?
Potentially. An initial psychiatric evaluation is required before we assume medication management. We review your history and current medications and may request records from your previous provider. Continuing a particular prescription is a clinical decision made after that assessment.
Can I keep seeing my current therapist?
Yes. Brain Bath can manage psychiatric medication while you continue psychotherapy with another clinician. We can coordinate care when appropriate and with your authorization.
Do I have to start medication?
No. A psychiatric evaluation does not obligate you to take medication. We discuss our recommendations and your preferences so you can make an informed decision.
Do you accept my insurance in Michigan?
We participate with multiple commercial insurance networks, including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Coverage depends on your specific plan and behavioral health benefits. Email support@brain-bath.com to confirm current options. Private pay and sliding-scale options are also available.
