Better psychiatry, anywhere in Michigan
Michigan is where Brain Bath began.
Brain Bath provides adult telehealth psychiatry throughout Michigan with a practice built around accessible, personalized psychiatric care.
We provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, adult ADHD treatment, and ongoing care for anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns.
Our approach is evidence-based without being impersonal.
You are more than a diagnosis, and your treatment should reflect that.
Psychiatric care built around the person, not the checklist.
Two people can meet criteria for the same diagnosis and need completely different treatment.
That is why Brain Bath takes a broader approach.
We want to understand not only your symptoms, but how those symptoms affect your work, relationships, sleep, routines, motivation, concentration, and ability to feel like yourself.
Brain Bath provides care for adults experiencing:
ADHD
Depression
Anxiety disorders
OCD
PTSD
Bipolar disorder
Other mood disorders
Panic symptoms
Sleep disturbances
Substance use concerns
Personality disorders
Mental health symptoms related to concussion and brain injury
Psychiatric evaluation
The first step is understanding what we are actually treating.
Your initial evaluation gives us time to discuss your current concerns, psychiatric history, medical history, previous diagnoses, medication trials, family history, sleep, substance use, stressors, and treatment goals.
If you have tried medications before, we want to know what helped, what did not, and what side effects you experienced.
If you have never received psychiatric treatment before, that is completely fine too.
There is no need to arrive with the answer.
Medication management in Michigan
Psychiatric medication is not one-size-fits-all.
Brain Bath provides ongoing medication management designed to find the treatment that provides meaningful benefit while minimizing unwanted effects.
Follow-up appointments allow us to monitor:
Mood
Anxiety
Attention and focus
Sleep
Energy
Motivation
Functioning
Medication side effects
Changes in your medical history
Whether your current treatment still makes sense
When changes are needed, we explain what we are changing and why.
Adult ADHD evaluation and treatment
ADHD is one of the most common reasons adults seek care at Brain Bath.
Some patients were diagnosed years ago and need a new psychiatric provider.
Others have spent years believing they were disorganized, lazy, forgetful, or simply bad at keeping up with life.
Adult ADHD can affect focus, organization, working memory, impulse control, time management, emotional regulation, and the ability to begin and complete tasks.
Brain Bath provides ADHD assessment and ongoing treatment for adults throughout Michigan.
Specialized experience in brain injury
Brain Bath founder Noah Freiburger, DNP, PMHNP-BC, CBIS, is both a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and Certified Brain Injury Specialist.
That background is particularly useful when evaluating patients experiencing psychiatric symptoms after concussion or other brain injury.
Brain injury can affect mood, sleep, attention, irritability, anxiety, motivation, and emotional regulation. Those symptoms deserve to be evaluated in context rather than automatically treated as an unrelated psychiatric condition.
Substance use and recovery-informed care
Brain Bath's clinical background also includes substantial experience in substance use treatment.
We understand that substance use, psychiatric symptoms, trauma, medications, recovery, and mental health often intersect.
The goal is thoughtful, judgment-free care that considers all of those factors rather than treating one part of your history as the whole story.
LGBTQIA+ affirming psychiatry
Brain Bath is proud to provide LGBTQIA+ affirming psychiatric care.
You deserve a provider with whom you can talk openly about your life without worrying that your identity will be misunderstood, minimized, or unnecessarily pathologized.
Care is collaborative, respectful, and individualized.
